Jordan launched preparations for specialised training to equip Jordanians with technical skills aligned with workforce requirements of the National Conveyance Project.
The Ministries of Water and Irrigation and Youth, together with the National Employment and Training Company, reviewed preparations for a national workforce development programme linked to the National Conveyance Project. The programme is designed to equip Jordanians with technical competencies aligned with the workforce requirements of the project and other major infrastructure investments. Minister of Water and Irrigation Eng. Raed Abu Saud, Minister of Youth Dr. Raed Al-Adwan and National Employment and Training Company leadership reviewed preparations during a coordination meeting in Aqaba. The programme will focus on priority technical occupations required during project implementation, with training based on competency standards and recognised professional qualifications. The first phase is expected to train approximately 500 Jordanians, with priority programmes linked to identified project workforce needs and internationally recognised certification where applicable. The initiative aims to strengthen the participation of qualified Jordanian workers in the National Conveyance Project while building technical skills relevant to Jordan's wider infrastructure and industrial sectors.
